Lochness Handcrafted Goods is owned & operated by the husband and wife duo, Kyle & Claire, in the Ozark Mountains of Branson, Missouri. The business began with Kyle making beautiful woodworking pieces & has grown to include Leatherwork, Candles, Soaps, Yarn, 3-D Prints, and much more. Kyle & Claire's goal with everything they craft is to make beautiful unique items that bring a smile to your face. Whether that's a handmade wallet, a skein of hand-dyed yarn, a sassy sticker, a fidget toy, or a luxury candle, they want you to feel the love, attention to detail, and joy that went into each item.
Why Lochness? Kyle chose the name when they were living in a 100 year old converted Little Old Church House (LOCH). And because he loves all things Pirate/Lochness Monster/Kraken themed, it was the perfect name (it doesn't hurt that it sounds pretty badass!).
Some Fun Facts about Kyle & Claire: They are both classically trained singers who can often be seen on stage in musicals, choirs, & operas. They even met in a professional choir in Louisiana! They have 4 Great Danes & a Sphynx Cat. They play Dungeons & Dragons, love The Golden Girls, and are proud Disney Adults.
Kyle has always loved making things, especially wallets. In elementary school he use to make wallets out of duct tape for himself and all his friends. Claire loves dyeing yarn & working with fiber, but her journey to that is a little odd. During the pandemic, Claire got a wild idea to paint canvases & stitch yarn into them. One day she was looking for a job and saw a new yarn store was about to open. Turns out the owner is an incredible color realist tattoo artist and she taught Claire how to dye vibrant yarn in unique colorways. The love for it just continued to grow into what it is now. And then she did Kyle's pirate sleeve tattoo!
One of the most important things to the Lochness HCG team is that everyone feels safe, included, and seen. So that means that Lochness HCG is loudly and proudly supportive and inclusive of the LGBTQIA+ community and all marginalized groups. They are pro-choice, believe that all people deserve heathcare, believe that no one is illegal on stolen land, and are anti-MAGA.
